A tender is a vessel used for servicing and providing support and entertainment to a private or charter yacht. They can be used for exploring shallow waters, a variety of water activities & sports such as fishing, wakeboarding, scuba diving, or the transportation of guests and provisions to/from shore.
The first step is checking the tenders' availability. Once confirmed, your itinerary details and preferences will be discussed to fit your needs and determine all of the associated costs.
Anyone can rent a tender however ONLY people who carry a USCG Merchant Marine Credential and are verified as operators on the Rental Agreement are permitted to operate the tender. T/T Yachts has licensed USCG Merchant Marine Captains available for hire that can provide a worry free and seamless rental experience. Inquire for more details, availability, and pricing.
A 50% deposit is required to book a tender. The remaining 50% balance is due prior to the start of the rental period. Additionally a 20% security deposit will be charged prior to the start of the rental period. This is to cover any incidentals or damages that are incurred to the tender during the rental period. In addition to the deposits, the following documents need to be completed and signed prior to the start of the rental period.
Yes the 50% deposit is fully refundable if written cancellation is received no less than 72 hrs from the rental period starting date. If cancelled within 72 hrs, the deposit will be held & credited towards a future rental within 1 year of the original rental period. If the future rental is not booked within 1 year of the original rental period, the deposit will be forfeited. The 20% security deposit will be refunded after the rental period and a Damage Inspection Report has been completed by a representative of T/T Yachts.
Bahamian law requires that the tender be documented & listed under the same cruising permit as the larger vessel that is renting it. Therefore, the tender must arrive at the same time as the larger vessel in order to clear customs and immigration together.
In most cases and with sufficient notice a change in the rental itinerary can be made. Additional charges may apply should the tender incur costs from dockage, fuel, or relocation.
